Does every body really think it was the trickle down economics got us where we are now…in such a bad economy…or is it the general “greed” keep up the jone’s mentallity? I lived overseas for two years and NOBODY judges you for what you have…or how much money you make there (Europe)…now my best friends here in the USA are always in competition over how much money they have and how much they make. Our country is built on “buy now pay later” and he credit card bill is NOW due and nobody can pay it.
The only thing that Bush did…was go have a war that was not justified. This in turn, devalued our dollar from all of the debt. The dollar went to an all time low (but I bet most people dont know that the dollar has made a BIG comeback in the last two months) and because of oil demand (because of emerging economies such as India AND china using much more gas than ever) plus the fact that now the oil was more expensive (because of our dollar)…our gas went through the roof. You cannot blame everthing on Bush…sorry. He is responsible for our huge deficit from this stupid war…but How, may I ask…did that effect our housing industry? The housing crisis, credit crunch is what really affected the economic crisis that we are in. The Clinton admin passed the banking deregulation act and it has TAKEN 8 years for this to be the result of that. I agree that the war has not been good for our dollar….but again, how did BUSH affect the greed of the housing crisis? Can you actually say the war is the reason that the house values went down and that predatory subprime lenders got out of hand? No, you cannot not.
The economic crisis we are currently in is caused by the housing crisis…not the war. So, stop blaming Bush….and look at the real facts. Blame the Clinton admin….his actions “trickled down” to us and we are paying the bill NOW.
